“These guys will ring your doorbell and give you some BS about your neighbors having carpenter ants, and if you sign up for their service too the whole neighborhood gets a deal. They do this every year. The neighbors of course, don't have carpenter ants. At your door they get very aggressive when you politely tell them you're not interested; raised voice, insulting comments, general overall hostile bearing. Also, I have a big No Solicitors sign on my door. Would you want to do business with people who either can't read, or can read and are just ringing your doorbell to be jerks?”

“Signed a contract with Barrier for a year. The first couple of visits went without a hitch. My third visit didn't seem to take too well, saw an increase in ant activity just after a month of prior service. Their service is "guaranteed" according to their service agreement, meaning they'll come out and and retreat at no extra charge. Six weeks before my next scheduled visit I made many phone calls and left messages in which they never reciprocated. They finally called me two days before before my scheduled visit, I explained what happened and they refused to believe me that I had left messages and still had the audacity to charge me for the service after they breached their own service contract. I called to have that bill waived or to nullify my contract due to their violation. Again, refusing to believe that I made those calls, they demanded my phone records insinuating that I was lying the entire time(in which I promptly obtained as proof and mailed). They finally agreed to lift the fee, but there was a catch, they extended my contract an extra 3 months, meaning they get their money either way. This is a very backwards approach to customer service, did they really think I was going to renew with them after what they just pulled? Awful response to what should have been an easy fix.”

“How sad that Barrier can not hire people who can read. We just had one of their reps knock at our door despite the large "No Soliciting" sign in full view. When I pointed it out to the guy, he kept on blathering about "we're in the area because there's a huge problem with ..." at which point I stopped listening, told him he was rude, said we would NEVER give our business to any company with employees so idiotic and shut the door. This isn't the first time we've had to put up with this BS from Barrier. They must think they're so special that they don't need to be respect our wishes. Wrong. I detest any company that would be so devious about selling their services. In this day and age when the internet can spread bad press in an instant, it seems incredibly stupid of them to behave this way.”
