“I moved into a public senior housing apartment, several months after moving in I had to unpack because of a bedbug epidemic. The Newark Housing Authority has a contract with Corbett Exterminating Inc. These people sprayed their poison for 5 weeks straight, we were instructed to leave our apartments for several hours. It you had no appointments you were able to go into the community room until it was safe to go back into your apartment. Once the 5 weeks were over we were told that it was safe to return into our apartments. I thought I had a really bad case of the flu, I went to my doctor several times he prescribed an antibiotic and cough medication. I could not break up this flu after 8 weeks I went to the emergency room at Beth Israel Medical Center on Lyons Avenue, in Newark, New Jersey. They ran extensive test on me. While I was waiting a doctor came in and she introduced herself, and she looked at me and said we were discussing your case wondering how you are still alive and not dead or in a coma! She then began to say, get comfortable because you are going to be our guest here while we flush out your respiratory system. Yours has been poison! We have to go into a vein an draw blood so we can check your oxygen level. Don't worry we will make you better. The unfortunate part of this, is several seniors died! They died because of a cold/flu that they could not recover from. Their family members are unaware of these facts. I wonder if a class action suit can be brought against Corbett for spraying the poison to kill the bedbugs. That obviously killed more than just bedbugs. The VA hospital released their findings on the said concoction used by Corbett and sent a letter on behalf of the veteran who resided in Stephen Crane Village Senior Building on Evergreen Lane . If you had a loved one who lived in any of the Senior Housing Authority Property, and died from flu like conditions, after their unit was sprayed by Corbett You may be entitled to compensations! I recently had to go to a pulmonary specialist because of the damage to my respiratory system. I was given a CPAP machine but it is not solving the problem I have to get tested to see what my blood oxygen level is to determine if I need pure oxygen.”
