I called Orkin in February 2024 because I had some squirrels in my attic. They sent a technician to do an estimate. There were several points of access that needed to be closed up and they suggested that I get additional pest repellent insulation in the attic space. We agreed on a plan. When the team came out they said; we can't do the insulation because there is knob and tube wiring in the attic and vermiculite in the existing insulation. The wiring isn't live and wouldn't they have seen this during the initial estimate? So that part was not done. About a month later I heard squirrels in the attic again. One if the entry points was not sealed properly. I emailed the technician, she said she would pass the information to her supervisor and he would get back to me. He did not, several more calls and emails with no response. Squirrels had now dug a hole in the ceiling below the attic space. I called on last time and threatened legal action and finally got a response. Lots of apologies and excuses for almost 6 months of ignoring the problem. Today a gentleman came to fix the failed access point, he was respectful and professional. Reinforced the access point and explained what he did. The entire process took him about 35 minutes. I would not recommend Orkin for any future issues. Once I am done paying for the service I contacted, I will have no further business with them. I thought that a national company would be more competent. Up until today the total experience was extremely disappointing.

Very satisfied with Orkin. Had an emergency appointment come up the same day they were supposed to come out and they rearranged the time for me. They still gave us service on the same day. I was happy that they found an affordable service within our budget. I like how they send texts to confirm the time window of your appointment and then again later in that time window letting you know that you’re the next stop.

Today was a termite check. No bad news, happy to report. I have noticed that all of Orkin’s technicians are consistently professional and courteous. I had some questions today, and my technician stopped what he was doing, gave me his full attention, and took the time to answer my questions and explain in detail. While it is what we hope in most human interactions, it is a decided competitive advantage for companies whose employees deliver top notch customer service.

Great service! Very professional and efficient! The technician Lloyd impressed me before he pulled in the driveway. He patiently waited and let a very long funeral procession pass by before he pulled in. That kind of consideration is rare and is really important to our family. He also took the time to carefully walk our yard with me and assess the damage to our yard done by moles.

Do not contract with Orkin. We paid a lot for termite deterrence. They came out twice to "inspect", created to-do lists and nothing was done on the lists in a year now. We also canceled the treatment contract. They come out unannounced anyway, then try to bill you even though we turn the techs away. Despite the treatments we did get, we still kill our own ants and our own traps catch mice while the ones they placed have caught nothing. Avoid Orkin! I did call the number noted. After navigating through the automated voice system, the call was dropped. Twice. I am not interested in any further contact with you people. There is nothing you can say to get another dime out of me. Your best bet is to just walk away, as I am.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. On May 31st a technician ripped a door in my basement from the hinges. I immediately emailed the branch manager Chris Steines about getting this issue resolved. He responded one time and one time only on June 6th. As I write this it is July 23rd with still no resolve or further communication from any representative of Orkin. I will never recommend their services to any one if this is how they treat paying customers. Buyer beware.

Left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. Communication definitely lacking, information constantly changing. No paperwork to check what you do have. Silentor that came to do my first treatment, was nice and very customer oriented. Not a good start overall.
