“I used village pest services for the last year. I did not have a problem with their maintenance program, as i have not had any issues with bugs BUT i DO have an issue with snide, rude technicians and staff. I was due for an annual renewal and spray and they were supposed to arrive between 12 and 3 at my home. We were here. My 12 yr old was keeping an eye on the younger children while i was working in an addition we just had built on. The tech knocked and i didnt hear him. They usually call ahead to let me know theyre en route. My 5 yr old went to open the door and my 12 yr old shouted to him to not open the door. She did not realize the tech had knocked and no one knocked again or rang my phone. I honestly thought they missed my appointment. I got a paper in the mail with an invoice amount of $305 today with comments reading *obvious horder home with severe maintenance and accessibility issues no point in offering a guarantee i recommend a $99 per call fee with no follow ups.* I was FURIOUS. I just had an add on installed so yes, there were some things moved about that normally are not. The tree beside my home was removed as well, the stump had been set for pick up. I had several childrens furnishings on my porch for the salvation army to pick up. My home inside is spotless, neat freak clean and normally my outside is as well. In the past yr i have made NO complaints or service calls to this company and i felt VERY attacked by what that tech commented. He does not know me or my situation and hadnt seen the inside. There was no reason for his judgemental remarks. I called in and spoke to the manager. All she said was aside from sorry theres nothing she can do to change what a tech says or writes. I told her that ive been in business for 18 years in this area and thats HORRIBLE AND UNACCEPTABLE customer care/service and that if that passed inspection to be sent to me than i would rather pay a higher amount elewhere.”
